30 years - grrrrr  and I still want to shop in the 'junior' department!  Shopping - how shocking to those who knew me then that I would begin this talking about that!  I used to say that I left Scarsdale and never looked back - but in reality ... the older you get the more you really want to go back.  Living in Manhattan, married to an awesome Brit, Gary for 19 years who has made my life as a 'soccer mom' truly an adventure.  3 boys, Ryan  - 22  and a first year law student at Wash U. St. Louis -  (Gary's biologically but have helped raise him since he is 2 1/2 and feel very close to), Michael - who just turned  18 and graduating High School next week (going to Wash U. - St. Louis in the fall)- way proud - that he is everything I was not - a 'student-athlete' although he looks so much like me and manages to sometime find trouble like I did and 15 year old Trevor - who actually had Miriam Akabus as a teacher and I didn't have a clue that we actually were in High School together.

All in all, life is way good, can't complain, but I assure those who remember me...I do ALL the time!
Honestly look forward to attending and seeing you all.

Attorney; animal welfare work Married 3 Fox Meadow

Wow—just came home from the Obama rally in Philly, where my family and I had the privilege of watching Bruce Springsteen perform (for free!).     How amazing to introduce my children to that!

I live in the Philadelphia suburbs with my husband, three children (9th grade boy/girl twins and a 3rd grade daughter) and four cats.   After high school, I went to Cornell (with about a dozen others from our class), starting as a math major and/or pre-vet, and ending up a psychology major, then headed to law school in Philadelphia.  I have remained in Philly ever since.  After clerking for a wonderful  trial court judge, I went to work at the Philadelphia City Solicitor’s office in the Code Enforcement Division.   It was a great job that I was reluctant to leave, but as the City offered no part-time options, I left when we had our twins.  I have never returned fulltime to the practice of law, though I still maintain my license.  Instead, I am immersed in community work, ranging from the Board of the Pennsylvania SPCA, to co-chairing local admissions activities for Cornell, to a deep involvement in local school district issues.  For fun, I have performed annually in cabaret productions at our synagogue.

This summer we traveled to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons with Susan McPhillips and her daughter.   We also often see Karen Bartnett and her family, who live in Doylestown, PA.

My parents still live in Fox Meadow, so we are in Scarsdale several times a year, always hoping for snow in the winter to go sledding at Fox Meadow or the high school,  and in summer  looking forward to hanging out at the Scarsdale Pool.

Looking forward to seeing many of you at the reunion!

June 06, 1960 Management Consultant apexgrowth.com Married 3 Heathcote

Hello Everyone:

Amazing how the times goes.  I was just recently passing through Scarsdale with my 16 year old son, Evan, and we went by the house I grew up in on Innes Road.  It's for sale again.  It was fun standing there remembering those days first at Heathcote and the Junior High (where the Edgewood guys always beat us in b-ball) to the days at SHS.  Happily, both of my folks are doing great.  I am sure my dad will also attend the reunion as he would love to see many of you.

Today, my wife, Kath and I have been married for 20 years and we live in West Hartford, CT.  We have three great kids -- Evan (who is 16, taller than me and a wonderful person) and Celia and Aaron (13 year old twins who couldn't be more different but are equally terrific).  After stints in the corporate world at places like Spalding Sports and Dunkin Donuts, I now own and operate my own management consulting firm, Apex Growth Strategies.  We do strategic planning, valuation and business analysis for private equity firms and corporations.  It is great fun having created the business and working on such an array of assignments.

I hope that life has treated all of you well.  I'll look forward to catching up in October.

Eddie

Executive Director Non-profit Married 7 Quaker Ridge

Who I am today stems, to a great extent, from my roots at SHS. My Bandersnatch quote expressed: Sometimes you dream, sometimes it seems, there’s nothing there at all. You just seem older than yesterday and you’re waiting for tomorrow to call. (Bernie Taupin)

I'm a born idealist, first written up in the local Dobbs Ferry newspaper (before moving to Scarsdale in ’70) as the second-grader who began a math tutorial program for first-graders. White Plains Hospital volunteer, became CHOP (Children’s Hospital of Univ. of Pennsylvania) volunteer and seniors’ home visitor, and continued on in many venues.

Thirty years later finds me the founding executive director of an idealistically-driven nonprofit solving educational, family, youth-at-risk, seniors and social welfare issues for under-served populations in Israel. I am an ordained Rabbi (plus BSc from Wharton), teacher, speaker and mentor. I live in Israel as an observant Jew, a deeply-involved husband and father to seven beautiful children, a community leader, and as one committed to doing “right” in all spheres of my life – exercise, healthy diet, ecological consciousness, etc.

I still follow NY sports, drink a glass of wine or beer, and make up stories about what a jock and stud I was at SHS – but after 11 pm. In summary (I will never forget 10th and 11th grade English with Mr. Mohegan!), I am living my life in a way to ensure that I won’t wake up thirty years later and feel that my life is just a dream, … just older than yesterday and waiting for tomorrow to call…

Finance/Law
After college, I went to graduate school in the UK, studied int'l law, became a lawyer and now work for a multi-national functioning in various legal/non-legal capacities.  Got 4 nice kids and a wife who it far prettier/nicer/smarter than a guy like me ever deserved. (Edit. Note: She is watching me as I type this and that's always been her view.)  I do a little public service via sitting on 2 regulatory governing boards for two states.
Great job with the website. It's been fun reading through all the blurbs.
